    Best practice MICE workshops roadshow

Last week, the Meet in Ireland team rolled out MICE training programmes that will help business tourism providers to maximise the opportunities available in business tourism.

The programme was provided in five locations - Dublin, Galway, Clare, Kerry, and Cork. This was done in partnership with the Regional Convention Bureaus and covered an introduction to MICE tourism, a blueprint for site inspections and best practice in preparing and responding to requests for proposals.

The training, delivered by Patrick Delaney of SoolNua, was well-attended nationally and well-received by attendees.

Niall Kelly of Blackrock's Radisson Blu Hotel attended the Dublin event and commented "I found today's workshop really useful. It gave an opportunity to meet other sales colleagues in the industry and see what their concerns are, what they are working on etc.

"It was also really good to get Patrick's insight and his take, as an expert in his field, on the latest trends internationally."
