Who can participate?

Anyone who offers an engaging food experience can take part in a food trail. Ideally, the trail should offer a mix of visitor experiences from farm to fork, the key being that participants are ‘visitor ready’ versus ‘product ready’. 

Participants can include:

  • restaurants and cafes

  • pubs

  • hotels and B&Bs

  • cookery schools

  • specialist food stores

  • producer visits and tastings

  • farm visits

  • food related visitor attractions

  • food festivals and events

  • breweries and distilleries

  • food activities e.g. ‘taste’, ‘learn to’ or ‘do’  opportunities.
