Meitheal 2011
Meitheal 2011, The Irish Travel Trade Fair, took place on Tuesday the 5th and Wednesday the 6th of April 2011 in the Royal Dublin Society (RDS).
Up to 250 Overseas Tour Operators and Group Organisers attended the event, with a view to negotiating business for the future.

About Meitheal Trade Fair
Fáilte Ireland, in collaboration with Tourism Ireland, organises an extensive annual calendar of in-Ireland and overseas promotions, workshops and networking events, allowing Irish industry partners to meet travel buyers from overseas markets.
Overseas promotions include key trade and consumer fairs throughout the world that Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland judge are the best opportunities for Irish companies to promote and market their products.
An Ireland stand is generally taken at these fairs and Irish companies are offered the opportunity to have a space on this stand. Networking and workshop events are also organised in certain markets, giving companies the chance to speak to buyers one-to-one.
In-Ireland promotions are generally organised on the workshop model, bringing qualified buyers to Ireland, which allows Irish companies to meet 10+ potential buyers in one day, without the expense of overseas travel.The biggest of these annual events is Meitheal.

Other large in-Ireland workshops are organised annually focusing on the North American market and on new and developing markets.
