Fáilte Ireland's quality assurance schemes are designed to enable existing and prospective customers to better navigate the variety of tourism offerings available; make informed choices; and find the products that best match their needs.
The quality assurance schemes allow operators to define and set boundaries including minimum quality standards for each category. They also help operators identify potential new products based on consumer need-states.
Properties registered under any Fáilte Ireland quality assurance scheme also enjoy the following benefits:
Signage is supplied to all approved properties. Fáilte Ireland quality assurance signs are a recognised brand of quality and backed by our extensive 'Follow the Shamrock' customer awareness campaign. This national campaign aims to guarantee consistency across all elements of the tourism mix and ensure that every tourism enterprise meets challenging minimum standards relevant to the sector in which they operate.
The distinctive signage for the campaign was designed to provide consumers with a recognisable and highly-visible symbol of quality assurance.

Approved properties are invited and encouraged to attend our industry events, subscribe to our specialised ezines, and keep up to date with our research.

Approved properties are eligible to use the term ‘Registered by Fáilte Ireland Standards’ in all promotional material and on websites.
Approved properties receive an independent assessment advisory visit, carried out by experienced professionals, that provides an indication of where your business is, relative to the required standards.

Approved properties are listed, with photos, on www.discoverireland.ie. Discover Ireland currently promotes Ireland to approximately 2.7 million Irish visitors per year, with ‘Accommodation’ amongst the most visited pages.

Approved properties are listed, with photos, on www.discoverireland.com. Tourism Ireland currently links to 47 different country websites, including over 19 foreign language versions, and attracts over one million unique international visitors every month.

Approved properties are promoted by Discover Ireland Centres in tourist offices nationwide.
