Ireland is known for its golf courses, which provide choice, quality and awe-inspiring scenery to golfers countrywide. In order to assist golfers in deciding which golf course to choose, Fáilte Ireland developed the Golf Minimum Standards Scheme.

The Golf Minimum Standards Scheme is a voluntary, nationwide quality assurance scheme. It is designed to enable existing and prospective customers to better navigate the variety of offerings available in the golfing arena, make informed choices, and find the products that best match their needs. The scheme allows operators to define and set boundaries; and helps them identify potential new products and services based on consumer needstates.

The introduction of the scheme is a great opportunity for Ireland to become the first country to undertake a nationwide quality-assurance scheme of this type for golf courses.
