In order to be approved as a holiday apartment or holiday cottage, your business should consist of eight or more units and one reception building located on one site, and these should all operate under the same management.
All units must contain sleeping, dining and lounge accommodation, as well as storage space, a toilet, and bathing and cooking facilities.

All self catering properties (within a registered group framework, and in excess of seven units on one site) are required to meet all of the regulations and classification requirements under the Tourist Traffic Acts. Categorisation is optional.
