Fáilte Ireland to Launch New Vision for the Irish Self Catering Sector

Fáilte Ireland is hosting a series of ‘Holiday Homes in Ireland’ workshops for self-catering operators across the country.  The workshops will provide information on the new ‘Holiday Homes in Ireland – ‘Your Holiday Your Way’ brand as well as the revised classification scheme which will include a number of revisions in line with customer demand and a new 5 star option.

A new self-assessment ‘Categorisation Scheme’ will also be unveiled where operators can choose to promote their property as Family Friendly, Walkers Welcome etc. as well as details of a dedicated training and development programme.

Speaking in advance of the workshop, Tracey Coughlan from Fáilte Ireland said
'We in Fáilte Ireland realise how difficult the operating environment is for self-catering operators, something that is not helped by an over-dependency on the domestic market.  I would urge self-catering operators around the country to come to the workshops to hear all about the updates and developments within the sector and to find out what opportunities they can avail of.”

Monday 18^th June – The Mill Park Hotel, Donegal (Reg 10 – 10.30am/Workshop 10.30 – 3.00pm)
Tuesday 19^th June – The Galway Bay Hotel, Galway (Reg 10 – 10.30am/Workshop 10.30 – 3.00pm)
Wednesday 20^th June – The Brehon Hotel, Killarney (Reg 10 – 10.30am/Workshop 10.30 – 3.00pm)

Thursday 21^st June – The Clarion Hotel, Lapps Quay, Cork (Reg 10 – 1030am//Workshop 10.30 – 3.00pm)
Friday 22^nd June – Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, Kilkenny (Reg 10 – 10.30am/Workshop 10.30 – 3.00pm)
Thursday 28^th June – The Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone (Reg 10 – 10.30am/Workshop 10.30 – 3.00pm)
Friday 29^th June – Stillorgan Park Hotel, Dublin (Reg 10 – 10.30am/Workshop 10.30 – 3.00pm)
