Brand workshop to maximise the opportunity of the Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands regional experience brand

Members of the local tourism industry today attended one of three workshops on Fáilte Ireland’s newest regional experience brand, Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands. Taking place throughout the Midlands region over the next week, the ‘Maximising the Opportunity of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands’ workshops aim to demonstrate how tourism businesses can use the regional experience brand to win more business.

    Local industry heard about:

    • the core message of the Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands regional experience brand and how to use it
    • how to integrate the brand into their business’ online presence
    • target markets / segments and how to understand the needs of different markets
    • how to collaborate with other local experiences to enhance their business’ offering

Fáilte Ireland’s Head of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, Paddy Mathews, said:

“The Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands regional experience brand resonated strongly during research in our target markets and we believe that it can really transform the offering here over the coming years. In order to drive growth in the visitor economy for the benefit of all in the region, it is really important that we are all aligned and using the brand effectively. These brand workshops aim to show local industry how to use the brand as a hook to encourage visitors to stay longer in their local area.”

The ‘Maximising the Opportunity of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands’ workshops are taking place throughout the region: Slieve Russell Hotel, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan (28th November), Radisson Hotel, Athlone, Co. Westmeath (4th December) and Abbey Court Hotel, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary (5th December).
