Phoenix Park is the largest enclosed public park in any capital city in Europe. Home to the Irish President!  The park is one of only two parks in the world to receive a prestigious Gold Award in the Inaugural International Large Urban Parks Awards organised by World Urban Parks. Your guide will point out historical houses and monuments of interest – best spots to watch some of the 500 wild fallow deer who graze there!  Listen out for the roar of lions or howl of monkeys at Dublin Zoo.

Irish Museum of Modern Art

Nestled in 48 acres of land in the heart of Dublin 8, contemporary art gallery IMMA’s home, is the  historical site of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham, with its accompanying formal gardens and a large meadowland.  Its campus creates a space where contemporary life and contemporary art connect. Visit a wide range of exhibitions featuring the work of leading Irish and International artist.  Gallery-based tours and workshops; studio-based programmes in the artists’ residency studio block; talks, seminars and artist-led events.  Entrance to the museum and grounds are free, with a small charge for special exhibitions. Pearse Lyons Distillery

One of Dublin’s newest whiskey distilleries. Take a journey through 800 years of history at St. James’s Church which has been transformed into a boutique whiskey distillery. Afterwards walk via Frances Street – Dublin’s Antique Quarter for St Patrick’s Cathedral.

Provides a window into 800 years of Irish history, religion, art, architecture, music and literature.  Enjoy a self-guided experience at your own pace, including a visit to the grave of Jonathan Swift. Use the Discovery Space to learn some of the wonderful stories this building has to offer through touch screen technologies; take time to do a brass rubbing or build a model of the Cathedral.
