Industry supports for Ukrainian citizens

To support tourism businesses that are seeking to recruit Ukrainian citizens who recently arrived in Ireland, Fáilte Ireland has created a range of online learning modules that have been translated into Ukrainian. These online learning modules aim to support those seeking employment in the Tourism Industry to upskill in key areas and to help their induction. The modules include Introduction to Tourism and Introduction to Customer Service as well as a range of practical videos. The Fundamentals for Food and Beverage Service provides a ‘how to’ guide on some key front of house skills. Some examples include Tray Service and Plate Service (serving and clearing).

Department of Social Protection


The Department of Social Protection has outlined the supports available to those arriving from Ukraine under the EU Temporary Protection Directive. Further information can be found at the links below.

  • 1. Free recruitment platform with information for newly arrived Ukrainians

  • A dedicated section on the Department of Social Protection’s free recruitment platform, www.jobsireland.ie, has been developed to provide information to newly arrived Ukrainians.
     

    Employers who wish to support Ukrainians through provision of employment opportunities should register on JobsIreland. This will enable Employment Services Officers to match the skills of those seeking employment with available work opportunities. Ukrainians seeking employment will also be able to access the service directly, upload details of their skills and experience for matching with available employment opportunities.
