The Wild Atlantic Way will be in the homes of millions following the filming of Indian television channel TravelxpHD who have a reach of over 20 million people in India together with a global audience of 40 million.   Fáilte Ireland is supporting the visit together with Tourism Ireland.

The film crew are currently in Ireland filming along the Wild Atlantic Way and it is expected that the travel documentary ‘Glimpses’ will help promote Ireland’s best tourist attractions and tours on our popular tourism proposition – The Wild Atlantic Way.

This premier lifestyle channel, TravelxpHD, will film four episodes in Ireland which will focus on showcasing a fusion of ‘off the beaten’ places on the Wild Atlantic Way, culture, lifestyle, soft adventure, and how people live.

The crew have visited and filmed various spots along the Wild Atlantic Way and a bespoke itinerary was devised by Fáilte Ireland for the film crew who will spend six days filming the many activities, culture and heritage of the Wild Atlantic Way including:

 Clare: Cliffs of Moher and O’Briens Tower
 Galway: Galway Bay, Claddagh Ring Visitor Centre and Galway City, Spanish Arch
 Mayo: Ashford Castle and Gardens, Westport Town & Harbour, Croagh Patrick, Clew Bay, Mulranny Beach and Causeway, Ceide Fields
 Achill Island: Keem Bay, Minnaun Cliffs
 Sligo: Strandhill Heritage Walk, Voya Seaweed Bath, Lough Gill, Mullaghmore
 Donegal: Donegal Castle, Slieve League Cliffs, John Molloy Knitwear, Ardara, Horn Head, Fanad Head Lighthouse, Great Pollat Sea Arch, Ballymastocker Beach, Kinnear Brewery, An Grianan Ailleach.

Speaking about this major coup for Ireland, Brian Quinn Manager the Wild Atlantic Way with Fáilte Ireland who was interviewed by TravelxpHD at Croagh Patrick said –

“As part of our continuing programme to promote the Wild Atlantic Way, we are delighted to be involved with this project and assist in bringing such a major Indian television channel to the Wild Atlantic Way.  It has given us a great opportunity to showcase this successful Irish attraction in front of a global audience and all it has to offer visitors with the hope that some of them will choose to visit our shores in the not too distant future.”
