‘Cheers’ legend takes a trip along the Wild Atlantic Way in Fáilte Ireland social media campaign to woo visitors
As Kim and Kanye jetted out of Cork, comedy legend George Wendt (known to millions as Norm from Cheers) arrived with his wife Bernadette to take a road trip along the Wild Atlantic Way to discover all it has to offer as part of Fáilte Ireland’s ongoing online campaign to attract overseas visitors to Ireland.
George is in Ireland for the Sky Cat Laughs Comedy Festival, Kilkenny – he hosted the very first Cat Laughs in 1995. He kindly agreed to make this video for no fee. The video can be viewed

Speaking today, Fáilte Ireland Director of Marketing, John Concannon emphasised:
“These kind of videos help us to create a viral buzz and get people talking all around the world about Ireland.
