Since 1832, more than 1.5 million people have been interred in Glasnevin.

Glasnevin Cemetery covers 124 acres of glorious parkland-perfect for

exploring the legacies of Ireland’s heroes.With your local guide leading you

through this haunting Victorian Garden cemetery, their passion and love of

Irish heritage and history in telling the stories of this island’s complex and

fascinating history, turns a educational history tour into something magical

with a careful balance of passion, sensitivity and fun.

NEW for 2017

The new ‘Dead Interesting’ tour of Glasnevin Cemetery gives an alternative

view of the varied heritage that Ireland’s largest cemetery holds and the

history within its walls. Visitors will learn of its sculpture, symbolism,

architecture, art, sporting heroes, horticulture, natural life and much more.

Allow 90 mins for tour, with further time to visit museum, interactive

exhibitions, genealogy research area, shop and café.

Experience Gaelic Games offers a mix of cultural immersion, soft activity and

serious interaction over 3-4 hrs.Your group visits a local Gaelic (Irish) Club where

the session starts with a personally delivered Audio/Visual presentation explaining

the Irish obsession with our tribal national sports as an expression of our cultural

identity. Then we unleash the group’s inner warrior instincts as they learn how

to play our native games.Add to this, some Gaelic Handball action and you have

the perfect Irish ‘team’ experience. Multilingual subtitled videos are available

for visiting groups upon request. Allow 3 hrs for this experience.

Available all year round in daylight hours (start times to suit group). Indoor

facilities available for limited group sizes in bad weather. Suitable recreational

loose fit clothing and good grip shoes/runners advised. No experience

necessary. Suits all levels of ability.
