Experience

GPOWitness History is located in the historical and iconic GPO building.

A highly interactive and spectacular exhibition, it focuses on the 1916

Easter Rising, the aftermath of this Irish rebellion and tells the story of how

Ireland has developed since. Here, visitors will experience the events from an

eyewitness perspective of active participants on both sides and bystanders

caught in the middle. This engaging and interactive experience brings history

to life though electronic touch screens video, audio visual booths, sound

and authentic artefacts – many previously unseen. Self-Guided tour with

audio headsets available in German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Irish. Group

bookings can avail of guided tour.
