This first phase of this new initiative is now full, however we are now welcoming Expressions of Interest for the second phase which will launch in Autumn 2025.

Our new Website Accessibility Grant Scheme is designed to help early participants of our Digital that Delivers programme bring their websites into compliance with the new European Accessibility Act, which comes into effect in June 2025, and make their websites accessible to everyone.

The European Accessibility Act 2025 means that many Irish businesses will be legally required to comply with new accessibility regulations. Whilst small businesses may be exempt under the current guidelines, Fáilte Ireland wants to support all visitor experience businesses, regardless of size, in making their websites accessible for visitors.

How much effort is required?

The good news is that by being a participant of our Digital that Delivers programme, you are already well on your way to making your website accessible. Most of the remaining upgrade work as part of this scheme will be handled by your agencies, so minimising any effort that you and your business needs to undertake.
