    We have designed a number of programmes and workshops to assist visitor attractions to effectively manage capacity, pricing and their retail offering and strategy.


    Revenue and Distribution Management for Hotels

    This workshop series has been designed to help businesses improve performance by introducing better revenue and distribution management practices, key to the sustainability of any business.

    The Essentials of Revenue and Distribution Management for Hotels workshop [pdf, 121kb] will teach you everything you need to know about revenue terminology; what you need to consider when setting prices; and how to read demand for your business.
    The Succeeding in Revenue and Distribution Management – Tactics and Strategies [pdf, 122kb] workshop provides the skills to create a framework for revenue and distribution management, including pricing, forecasting demand and assessing your optimum sales channels.  It will examine the key elements of revenue and distribution management in terms of market segmentation and capacity management.  
    The Strategic Revenue and Distribution Management Masterclass [pdf, 121kb] is a strategic programme that focuses on revenue and distribution trends into the future, and the impact digital distribution will have on revenue streams. 
    Please note that a revenue skills barometer must be completed in advance of registering for any of the above workshops, to ensure that only the most relevant and correctly pitched content is provided by trainers.

    Market Diversification Programme

    The key aim of the Market Diversification Programme is to assist companies to avoid an overreliance on one market. It will help develop and deliver plans to diversify markets, to ensure a more sustainable approach to business.
    The programme focuses on developing viable and sustainable market entry strategies; honing tactical sales skills; targeting business in new markets and perfecting sales pitches to secure new business.
    1. Tactical Sales

    A series of one day tactical sales workshops, helping you to retain and win new business.

    2. International Market Insights and Lead Generation 

    3. China Ready Programme 


    4. International Sales Optimisation Scheme

    This scheme supports the Market Diversification Programme and involves 1:1 mentoring support to help develop and implement market diversification plans. To avail of this scheme, businesses must meet certain criteria, which will include:

    • Completion of Brexit Readiness Check

    • Priority will be given to tourism businesses located in the border counties or South East region

    • A minimum of 15% of existing business that comes from the GB and/or NI market

    • Dedicated managers within the business in Sales, Revenue Management or Marketing

    • Participation in the Market Diversification Programme

    • Engagement with local Fáilte Ireland Regional team development activities

    • Utilisation of the relevant Fáilte Ireland Regional brand in sales and marketing approach
