Activities

Ireland is a world-class destination for activities and provides year-round access to a range of exciting tourism experiences. The Fáilte Ireland activities division is dedicated to achieving recognition for the sector and to providing the necessary infrastructure (product development) that will facilitate the growth of new business opportunities to provide a wider range of tourist experiences in destinations.

With a focus on improving access to and opening up the great outdoors and amenities (such as our rivers, lakes and mountains), Fáilte Ireland aims to build brilliant visitor experiences. This is achieved by supporting Ireland’s Association for Adventure Tourism (IAAT), the representative body for Ireland’s Adventure and Activity industry.

While we don't work with activity operators directly, we focus on developing vital infrastructure to support activity operators. Our Programme Teams are available locally to offer advice and support and act as the first point of contact with Fáilte Ireland.
