Glendalough & Wicklow Mountains National Park Visitor Experience & Management Masterplan SEA Reports
In accordance with Article 16 (1) (b) ‘Information on Decision’ of the European Communities (Environmental Assessment of Certain Plans and Programmes) Regulations 2004 Statutory Instrument No. 435 of 2004), as amended by the European Communities (Environmental Assessment of Certain Plans and Programmes) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 (Statutory Instrument No. 200 of 2011), notice is hereby given that Fáilte Ireland, in partnership with Wicklow County Council, National Parks and Wildlife Service, Office of Public Works, National Monuments Service and Coillte have adopted the Masterplan for Glendalough and Wicklow Mountains National Park and Visitor Orientation Recommendations for County Wicklow.
A copy of the adopted Masterplan and associated Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Environmental Report and Appropriate Assessment (AA) Natura Impact Statement are available for inspection on the website of the Authority.
A statement is also available, with the above documents, which summarises:
i. How environmental considerations have been integrated into the Masterplan;
ii. How the environmental report prepared pursuant to article 12 and any submissions and observations made to the competent authority in response to a notice under article 13 of Statutory Instrument No. 435 of 2004 as amended have been taken into account during the preparation of the Masterplan;
iii. The reasons for choosing the Masterplan in the light of the other reasonable alternatives dealt with; and
iv. The measures decided upon to monitor, in accordance with article 17, the significant environmental effects of implementation of the Masterplan.
